4rStart by opening your trunk and inside, depending on which side bulb is out, you unscrew the cap from the carpet on the trunk wall. Carefully peel back the carpet and inside there will be 3 screws, unsrew each. and pull off. then carefully twist the wire connecting to the old brake light until it comes lose.
