Its in the dash on the passenger side... and you can not replace it on your own.
The unit has to be flashed (programed) to your specific VIN because the anti theft system will not allow you to just swap the unit. The scan programing tool runs a bit over $4000.00 so your local shop will direct you to the dealer for assistance.
Our local dealer ship want 474.00 to replace the unit and program the new one.

If you mean the pcm, then its inside the air filter box on the bottom

The PCM is located on the firewall behind the coolant reservoir on the passenger side of the vehicle. Most notably are 3 large connectors.

Have you checked inside the car under the dash where the stering wheel is? But it's a PCM and BMC on the Grand Am's, and the scanner for the code is an OBD 2

no there was never stick shift in a in the fwd 3.8 grand prix but there is a way to run a stick shift in the car without it being very costly......the chevy cavalier or pontiac sunfire manual 5 speed would work......of cross you will need to do some modification with the pcm but other than that it is a pretty simply procedure for any basic automotive tech.
The PCM on a 2003 Neon is between the radiator and the transmission under the hood.
The 2003 Chevrolet Malibu PCM valve can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The PCM valve will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
