if you have the valve body and you kno what your doin you drop the pan, remove the valve body bolts drop it straight down then install the new, but id recommend taking it to a tranny shop to have them replace it for you.
Many of todays vehicles do not have drain plugs. You have to remove the pan to change the filter and fluid.
for the tough ones use a socket that you can put a wrench on to crackem loose
