The sensor is mounted on the backing plate just behind the rotor. You will need to remove the wheel and tire, the brake caliper and housing unit, the rotor and then the sensor is exposed.

Make sure to jack up the vehicle and secure it on stable jacks or blocks. Remove the wheel and tire then separate the sensor wire from the brake line. It is held within 4 little plastic clips. Careful not to break the clips. Remove the caliper and housing as one unit. You do not have to take off the brake line or remove the pads. If you take it off as a unit and put something in-between the pads, try to use something like wood or plastic spacers to prevent scratching the pad surfaces, you can prevent the need to bleed the system. Make sure you have something at the right height to set the caliper and housing unit on, so as not to stretch the brake line. Then take off the rotor assembly. Be careful of the bearings and seals. Once the rotor is off you will see the sensor. It is attached to the backing plate with (2) 5/16" bolts. There is another 5/16" bolt holding the sensor wire on the back side of the backer plate. The sensor will need to be disconnected and the connection removed from the vehicle frame. This will allow the entire sensor wire to be removed out of the backer plate. The metal part of the sensor will not pass through the backer plate. The entire wire assemble must come out the front.

Replacing the items is just using the opposite sequence.

Install the new sensor, attach the first holder for the sensor wire. Re-install the rotor (inspect your bearings and seals while you have the rotor off the vehicle and replace is necessary. Re-install the caliper and housing assembly. Attach the sensor wire to the plastic clips on the brake line. Install the wheel and tire.

Hope this helped. Good Luck!
