Above procedure time: <5 minutes
I got into it by just taking off the metal bar that goes across the battery box. Notice that this bar has a brace attached to the bottom of the battery box. This amounted to removing 2 screws and 1 nut. Then procede to take the rubber covering off the back of the light. I had to use a screw driver to get it started. Then twist the bulb out and take the bulb off the wiring harness. Then take the bulb to a car parts place and let them give you a bulb. Take the gray (or black) piece that holds the bulb.
Be sure to get the headlight bulb out and not the turn signal light as I first did. This all took place on the driver's side low beam. I have medium to large size hands and it was a squeeze but I didn't want to take the grill off. If your hands are too large, you might get your wife or some kid to reach in there and twist the bulb out. It took 10 minutes or so. Mine is a 2004 trailblazer.
Because there are two light bulbs and the low beam bulb is burned out
To change the direction of a light beam, you can use mirrors or lenses to reflect or refract the light in the desired direction. Adjusting the angle of the mirror or lens will change the direction of the light beam. Alternatively, you can physically move the light source or the object the light is reflecting off of to change the direction of the beam.

A beam of light becoming dimmer is a physical change since it is reversible. Recharging its source will make the light beam bright again.
