The routing diagram for the serpentine belt on a 1998 Chevy Prizm with a 1.8L engine typically shows the belt looping around several pulleys, including the crankshaft pulley, alternator, power steering pump, and the idler pulley. The belt should be routed in a way that ensures proper tension and alignment with the pulleys. For accurate installation, refer to a detailed diagram usually found in the vehicle's service manual or on a label under the hood. Make sure the belt is properly tensioned after installation to avoid slippage.
