Step 1: Disconnect heater hoses from under the hood Step 2: Remove the (6) 9/32" screws securing the heater box cover to the bottom of the heater box. Note: (2) of them are hidden so make sure you get them all. Step 3: Remove the heater box cover. Step 4: Locate the (1) 9/32" screw that holds the heater core to the housing. Step 5: Gently pull the heater core from the housing and remove. Installation is the reverse of disassembly.
The transmission must be removed to change the flywheel.
Have you flushed the heater core?
