How to remove GM Ignition CylinderThis procedure will require 2 specialty tools. A steering wheel puller kit and a GM Lockplate depressor tool.

Remove Horn Pad

Remove Triangular Circlip

Remove Steering Wheel Locknut (13/16ths - I believe)

Using Steering wheel Puller kit, Remove Steering Wheel

Once Steering Wheel is removed, Remove plastic insulator piece

You will now see steering wheel lockplate

Using lockplate removing tool, depress lockplate and remove c-clip from steering shaft

Lift off lockplate and lockplate spring

Remove Horn contact ring

Remove hazard switch button from outside of steering column

Remove turn signal stalk (if necessary)

You will now see the top of the turn-signal switch.

Remove turn signal switch (3 - #2 Phillips head screws)

Do not remove turn signal switch completely, just lay it out of the way

On right side you will now see a torx-head bolt (T-25 or T-30 I believe)

Remove Torx-head bolt

Slide ignition cylinder out.

Reverse procedure for installation.
