Get the truck up on good jack stands. Drain the oil from your truck. Disconnect the lines from the oil filter, disconnect the stabilizer bars from the transmission to free the space needed to get all the bolts out from the oil pan. Take out all the bolts & maneuver the oil pan off. Take off the old gasket & make sure all surfaces are clean & the old gasket pieces are gone. Apply some sealant to the lip of the oil pan & the opposing lip. Be sure to apply an even coat to ensure there will be no gaps. Reattach the oil pan by hand tightening bolts to the four corners of the pan. Hand set all therest of the bolts. Starting from the middle bolts, give each bolt in an opposig pattern 1 full tightening rotation. The bolts cannot be screaming tight as this will destroy the gasket. Once the bolts are all set properly, reattach the stabilizer bars & oil lines. It would be a great time to change the oil filter at this point. Make sure the drain plug is in snug. Let the truck down off the jack stands & add new oil or the old oil, whichever you feel is appropriate. Hope this helps.
