Pull down on the shifter boot. It should clip out. Then start twisting the knobe off... Left losy righty tighty
you have to take the center console loose and raise it over the top of the shift knob. there you will finrd that the shift bag is attached to the shift knob by a zip tie. break the zip tie and unscrew the shift knob. that's it.
You should be able to depress the sides of the silver ring to remove the boot. After this is done just unscrew the knob. The new one can then be threaded.

Look on the front of the knob towards the dash, at the base of the knob you will see a pull pin that you take out and the knob will come off.
