Sounds Like You Have A 4.5 !!!! Ain`t They Wounderful ? I Truly Hate To Work On Them. First Go Buy You A Good Set Of Plug Wires, Then Get Some Tungsten Tip Spark Plugs(some that will last a long time). Wipe Sweat Cut Fingers On The Four Next To The Firewall, You Can Expect To Be 6 or More Hours Changing These Four Plugs. You Almost Have To Remove The Top Of The Engine To Get To Where You Can Reach Them. BEST OF LUCK OR DO THIS ++++++++++++++++++Take It To A Good Mechanic, Have Him Put New Wires And Plugs In It. It Will Cost But I Bet You Will Be Glad You Did. I Do Hate To Say This==I ALWAYS LOVED CADILLIACS. BUT I WOULD WALK BEFORE I OWN ANOTHER. BEST TO YOU

Not a problem. the back plugs are done by feel. You just have to pull up on the coolant hose that tends to sag down and get in the way. Don't start pissed off and it will end well.

SIMPLE ANSWER: i just changed mine a week ago. thought i was going to have to pull that sum bi out.... all you do is get a flash light.. even if its broad daylight. wait till cools down of course.then move that hose and wires. i recomend long sleeves. follow wires. i wiegh 210. put down towel and watch your knees. get on top of motor for best leverage. then simply take them out and replace. you CAN reach them. it took me every bit of 2 hours only cuz ive never worked on a lac. outcome... successfull.
