start up the vehicle and run through all the gears. then shut it off and go directly under the tranny pan. loosen up the bolt and drain the tranny fluid. when it is all drained, torque to bolt back on to the tranny pan at 25-30 lbs. then go back up to the engine compartment, where you check your tranny fluid level, and put about 5 quarts of tranny fluid in. then start your car up again, run through all the gears and check the fluid level again while the engine is running. add more fluid if you need to. if there is too much, drain a little bit out and check it again.
