pop open the casing around your shifter....
be genthle and pry it off...it pops right back on
look and feel the cable... does it sound like gring metal wires?
do you see metal wire shavings around the wire?
pop the hood and have some one wiggle the stick shift.....
look for where the cables move and watch how they move as well....
(your transmission should be on the driver side)-->i had no idea before i just went out there and started messing with it...(by the way)
now move the part the end of the cable is connect3ed to....with the car off!!
now go turn it on and see if it is in gear....try a few times....you'll get it
move the shifter to left or right try to get it in revres or second
look at the big picture.....the cables are one part so its easy to do...
i'm no tech or mechanic just a simple man that doesn't want to have to give my hard earned money to somebody else to fix something that was that easy....or anything else at all if possible....
yoU Have to take out the center console.....which is only 4 screws and then the three panels around the stick shift housing....like 7 screws
dont get burned....some tranny guy was like i think its internal and i can take it out right now starting at 600$ AND THEN WE CAN TAKE FROM THERE....meaning alot more.....!!!!!!!!!
