There is an anti-freeze/coolant reservoir on the left side of the engine compartment.
Use the level markings on the side of the plastic to check the coolant levels.
The Owners Manual covers this, including illustrations in some detail.
There is a coolant level sensor in the bottom of the coolant tank. If the tank has enough coolant, then the sensor is bad. You can buy a new tank for about $50 (Rockauto.com or Autozone) and replace it in an hour or so. Or just disconnect the cable from the sensor and check your coolant level on a regular basis.
check your water or coolant level If coolant level is ok, replace the thermostat.
Check the engine coolant... Is it full? yes coolant level is full
Check the level in the coolant reservoir. There is a line "wall" in the jug. The coolant level should be just above that line. If it is then check if your reverse lights work. They are on the same fuse. If they work, you probabaly need a reservoir as the level switch is faulty
There are marks on the side of the coolant reservoir that indicates the proper level. Keep it filled at all times if you are losing coolant you may have a leaking hose or may be your Lower intake gasket. you should not ever have to add coolant to your system.
Could be low coolant level, faulty thermostat, or faulty temperature sensor. Check coolant first.
