To clean the mass air flow (MAF) sensor on a 2000 Chevy Prizm, first, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the electrical connector from the MAF sensor. Carefully unscrew the sensor from the air intake duct and spray it with a dedicated MAF cleaner, avoiding touching the sensing elements. Allow it to dry completely before reassembling the sensor and reconnecting the electrical plug and battery cable. Always ensure to follow safety precautions and consult your vehicle's manual for specific instructions.
