How do you disable the auto door locking feature on 2002 Saturn Vues manual says it is user programmable but does not tell how to do?

Not sure if this will help, but in the 2006 VUE manual, page 2-9, it indicates that automatic locking CANNOT be disabled, but the user can disable the automatic unlocking that occurs when the ignition is turned off. To toggle between enabled and disabled automatic UNLOCKing in the 2006 VUE,

1) Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to "RUN".

2) Press and hold the unlock button on the remote key fob for 8 seconds.

The horn will chirp once when unlocking is enabled, twice when it is disabled.
