How do you gain access to the wiper unit of a Mercedes C class front windshield wiper motor?

1. Remove the two, black "vent-like" panels covering the main wiper assembly cover. underneath you will see a row of 8 black screws holding the cover in place in addition to two plastic guide screws at the edge of either side. There are also two black screws in the well surrounding the wiper transmission assembly. Remove these also. 2. Unclamp the wiper assembly cover once the screws are removed. There are clips running all along the front of the cover itself that must be unclamped in order for the assembly cover to be removed. 3. Remove the "well" plate under the wiper transmission housing. 4. There are exactly three 10mm bolts holding the wiper assembly in place. The first two may be removed normally while you will have to turn the wiper on (then turn off the car with the arm in the 12 o'clock position) to access the third screw which is under the top right corner of the assembly and somewhat difficult to access. 5. Once these threee screws are removed the assembly itself will lift off of its mount. 6. Flip the assembly over. The motor will be attached to the wiper transmission assembly itself by three screws and the wiper linkage. You will need to remove the three screws and "pop" the wiper linkage socket from the wiper motor joint in order to separate the parts from each other. 7. Reassembly is the same. Ensure you remember where the linkage assembly is relative to the position of the wiper blade so it can reset in the same position when you reassemble it all.
