Underneath the stearing wheel is a gray connector. While you have the door open disconnect it and the buzzer should go off.
Yes, the 1995 Cadillac does have a buzzer that sounds when the driver's door is open while the car is running. This feature is designed to alert the driver to potential safety issues, such as leaving the door ajar while the engine is on. If the buzzer is not functioning, it could indicate a problem with the door switch or the vehicle's electrical system.
The door switch for the interior lights is faulty.
Locate the buzzer by the sound. Unplug the buzzer and bend one of the spade terminals flat. Plug it back into the socket.
Headlights or parking lights are on, or keys are in the ignition
I own a 1994 Ram and i think it would be the same for your '96. Open your driver side door and on the side of your dash will be a removable panel, remove it and you will see a fuse block. The fuse for the buzzer, and the buzzer itself, will be in there.
You can not open the rear hatch door from the inside.
the buzzer wont buzz
it is located on the door pillar at the bottom. It is held on by a Phillips screw. If you are replacing it, try to clean the contacts first, that maybe all that's wrong. I know that if the contacts are bad the dome light won't come on and the bell wont chime if the key is in the ignition with the drivers door open
Have you checked the rear hatch glass ?? Open it and reclose it firmly.
Wow a live in Buzzard The buzzer is trying to tell you the key is in the ignition or the head lights are on.
How do you remove the rear door panels on your 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis They are shut and will not open the locking mechanism has fallen down inside the door?
