On most Polaris 4 wheelers the output shaft on 2 wheel drive models is shorter than on a 4 wheel drive . You can go to www.bike bandit .com look up part number for both models and see if they match .
its just the way polaris 4wd works. to get it working, stop the wheels spinning, hold the reverse override button, then go and u have 4wd in reverse :) its a bloodey pain, but that's why i have a Honda ;)
To change the CV boot on a 2004 Polaris 330 Magnum 4x4, first, lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheel and the axle nut, then detach the axle from the differential and wheel hub. Slide off the old CV boot, clean the joint, and apply fresh grease before placing the new boot on. Reassemble the axle, ensuring all components are secured, and reattach the wheel.
You need to put the correct fluid or the front wheels will engage even if the all wheel drive switch is in 2 wheel drive. The part number is 2877922 get it from a Polaris main dealer. should be £7.50 + vat for a quart. www.polaris-britain.com
Should be on the bottom of the oil tank, which is behind the front left wheel. it is tall and has the oil dip stick at the top
ok what your not understanding all wheel drive very different from 4 wd all wheel drive ATV are only a polaris 4wd is everything else all wheel drive mean each tire pulls 4wd means the rear axle is solid and both tire pull together in the back and front have independent pull
In most cases, no. The only way I can think of that would make the 4 wheel drive stop working is if the wheel bearing completely froze up the wheel and ended up breaking a u-joint or CV joint.
