I have a 1998 Kia Sportage if it is the same, fuel pump is in the tank, however....you access it under the passenger seat! The whole seat comes forward, trap door with 4 screws to remove. Then you will see another set of 8 screws, remove them and pull the entire housing for the fuel pump out.
The water pump on a 2001 Kia Sportage is located on the front of the engine. It circulates coolant through the engine and radiator to prevent overheating.
Drop the fuel tank down, disconnect the fuel lines
in the gas tank
In the black box on the right side under the hood. The fusible links, relays, fuses are there also.
If it is mounted with screws then just remove the screws. If it is a locking ring, then the ring must be turned to remove than pump. The plate has screws and a retaining ring.
Call your dealership .
fuel pump relay under hood in the fuse box
It is unnecessary to bleed the lines after installing a new fuel pump. The fuel pump will pump all the air out of the fuel lines and start to work properly without any bleeding. Just install a new fuel pump and start the engine.
To replace the petrol fuel pump in a 2001 Vauxhall Frontera Limited, first, ensure the vehicle is safely lifted and supported. Disconnect the battery and relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls. Access the fuel pump by removing the fuel tank, disconnecting the fuel lines and electrical connectors, and then unbolting the pump from its housing. Install the new pump, reassemble the tank, reconnect the fuel lines and battery, and finally, test the system for leaks before starting the engine.
