Well, on my 92 camaro rs, the open rear hatch is located on the console behind shift lever and between the power window buttons. To open from outside rear license plate/bracket folds down revealing key lock which works with door keys. Have used mine several times when needed to open rear hatch without battery connected while servicing vehicle. Hope this helps...
You need to remove the front and rear seats. Remove the console, various interior panels and the door sill plates. Pull out the carpet.
A 67-72 Camaro horseshoe shifter will not fit directly into a 73 Camaro due to differences in the console design and mounting points. The 73 model underwent some changes in the interior layout, making it incompatible with earlier shifters without modifications. If you're looking to swap shifters, you may need to adapt the mounting hardware and potentially modify the console for a proper fit.
