How do you get to the brake light switch to replace it on a 1998 Chevy C1500 you can't seem to get access to it?
I just had the switch replaced in my 1996 Silverado. They had to disconnect the steering column from the dash to get at the switch.
I changed mine on a 1998 3500 in about 10 minutes, brake switch is located on top of steering column, between brake linkage and dash, pop off the black clip with a small screwdriver, disconnect electrical plug and reverse installation.
