You must remove the fuel tank. Just disconnect the wiring you may have to drop the tank partly just watch that the tank does not fall the whole way down as the fall could cause the plastic lines to break. Once you do this drop the tank out. The circle ring on the top I just use a screwdriver to turn it then the pump and sending unit will pull right out. Then Just do it all again in reverse. It not a hard fix so you will be just fine.
