Tough to do. The 2.8 V6 is under powered to start with plus it has a carb. I could never get decent mileage when I had mine. Sorry.
Suggestion: I use pure acetone in my gas dank that gives me approx an extra 50 to 75 miles total. The formula i use is 1 /2 oz. of pure acetone per 10 gallons. The acetone aggitates the gas on a moleculor level causeing it to more fully combust. This action gives improved gas milage and actually cuts down on carbon build up on the plugs. REMEMBER ONLY PURE ACETONE!!!!! NEVER ANY WITH FRAGRANCES OR ADDITTIVES. cHECK WALMART!
