you will have to drop the fuel tank as the fuel pump is in the tank, undo the snap ring in top of tank and pry out pump and sending unit BE SURE NOT DAMAGE RING of tank,pull out and switch pumps and put back together make sure all SEALS then put snap ring back in and reassemble
No, they're not the same fuel pump. The V8 requires more fuel pressure than the V6. Besides you would not want to install a used fuel pump. Way too much trouble to trust to a used part.
Unless there is an access panel above the fuel pump, in the vehicle, you must remove the fuel tank in order to gain access to the fuel pump for replacement.
