This works for a '04 4WD # Tools: slide hammer, breaker bar, 35mm socket, 10mm wrench, 15mm wrench, 15mm socket short 3/8" drive (all others 1/2" drive) # Support the truck but keep the wheels on the ground. # Remove the center cap and loosen the spindle/axle nut using the breaker bar. DO NOT REMOVE! # Loosen the wheel nuts # Raise the truck and support with jack stands # Remove the wheel. # Remove the brake caliper, but leave the brake line intact. Set the caliper in the upper suspension to keep it out of the way. # Remove the axle nut, washer and rotor. # Unplug the ABS sensor # Remove the three bolts supporting the hub rotor. The middle bolt is aggravating. Use the short 3/8" 15mm to remove this one to save time. The breaker bar is useful hear. # Use the slide hammer to remove the old hub. # Use the spindle nut to press you new hub in place. Use a hammer, ruin the bearing. After a few turns, insert the washer, and continue to install # You will have to lower the truck to tighten the spindle nut completely. # It is straight forward if you have the right tools.
