For my 1997 Grand Pri SE 3.8 it is located underneath the engine cover on the front of the engine near the fuel rail. It also has a evap air control valve at the rear thtaes up part of the circuit.
The purge valve sensor on the 96 Chevy Lunina van is on the driver's side of the engine about half way back from the bumper. The low coolant sensor is to the right of the front part of the engine, next to the PCV valve.
That means you've got a problem with the vent solenoid. If you also get P1665, that's the purge solenoid. If you get both at the same time, it's most likely a bad fuse, since they share the same one.
