most have the fuel pump in the gas tank.
bleed the system thru the schrader valve.
(remove the steel tank guard in the front of the tank.)
lower the gas tank.
remove the fuel/vacume lines.
youll need quick disconnects tools. there cheap.
drop the tank to the ground.
tap the locking ring back with a screw driver and a hammer.
remove fuel pump/gas gauge assby.
clean the inside of the tank.
reverse to install.
i would replace the fuel filter while you've got the system depressurized.
and you have the fuel quick cont. disconnects.
its about 3 to 4 ft in front of the tank.
follow the fuel lines.
The electric fuel pump is inside the fuel tank
No need to match it to any other pump. Just purchase a fuel pump for your Ford Probe and it will fit and work. You for sure do not want to install a used fuel pump. Way to much work to change it out.

Installation Install a new fuel pump mounting gasket and position the fuel pump in the fuel tank. Install the fuel pump locking retainer ring. Connect the fuel tubes to the fuel pump. Install the fuel tube clips onto the fuel tubes. Position the fuel pump cover and ground strap and install the fuel pump cover screws. Connect the fuel pump electrical connector. Install the rear seat cushion. Connect the battery ground cable.
