I just had my 1980 CJ5 258 oil changed and the mechanic checked his book, called the dealership and a parts store to confirm that it help 6 qts. Hope that helps!

The heads are part of the engine. The head receives oil by way of the oil galleys (Passage ways) in the engine block and head. Oil is pumped to the head by the oil pump through the galleys.
4 or 6 cyc, place container under oil pan under the engine, remove the drain plug on bottom of oil pan. on 4 cyc oil filter on top right(passenger side). put new filter, reinstall plug, fill with oil to line on dipstick.
2 cyc. oil is used in all 2cyc motors.
