The Dana 35 will be completely round and the plug will have a open slot for a allen wrench. However, the C8.25 looks almost the same but has a flat spot at the bottom with a larger plug with a rubber seal and the outer edge will be out and not flat almost like a lip.

One thing that will tell you that is non involved is to jack up the rear end and rotate one of the wheels, if the other rotates in the reverse direction it is normal limited slip, if it rotates in the same direction it is posi.
Usually a Dana 35, unless it has the metric ton package. Then it would have the Dana 44.
