I have a 2004 hopefully it is similar. Where the bottom of the seat and the back come together on the sitting side there should be a tab. Pull that up which should move the back of the bottom of the seat forward so that the bottom of the seat is now perpendicular to the floor. Then push the back of the seat forward laying it flat. HTH.
