It is not possible to replace the trunk lock on a 1993 Caprice Classic while the trunk is closed. A person will have to remove the back seat, crawl into the trunk and open the lock manually before it can be replaced.

open the trunk, you should see clips or screws holdig your upholstery on remove these clips or screws and then you can remove the panels and you will see the main structure of the car and there will be access holes big enough to put your hand through and reach the bulbs, hope this will help you. on caprice 2 and 4 door sedans open trunk and look at area behind loghts you will see large black plastic cap nuts remove them and the entire rear pannel that holds the lights will then be able to be removed. turn the bulb sockets counter clockwise and they will come ou. replace the bulbs and reverse to put back together. on caprice wagon use a torx screwdriver and remove the 4 screws that hold the light fixture to the body then replace the bulbs and reverse to replace
