Actually, you don't progam the key, you program the car's computer to recognize the key or the remote. For a new key, YOU MUST HAVE 2 KEYS ALREADY PROGRAMED, or you will need to go to the dealer. This sucks I know. Put in the first key and turn it to run for 3 to 10 seconds, then insert the second key within 10 seconds. Do the same thing with the second key, and then insert the new key and do the same thing again. The new key should then start your engine. To program a new remote, you need to do all the remotes at the same time. This sucks also. With the doors unlocked, turn your key from off to run 8 times ending in run. The doors will lock then unlock to confirm. Then press any button on each transmitter you want programed within 20 seconds. The doors will then lock and unlock to confirm after each one. The owners manual has detailed instructions.
