Adjust your seat to the desired position and press the set button, the light will flash, you have 5 seconds to hit either 1 or 2. If you don't do it in 5 seconds it will go back to the original settings
To program the memory seats in a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII, first adjust the driver's seat to your desired position. Then, press and hold the "Set" button on the driver's door until you hear a beep. Next, press one of the numbered memory buttons (1 or 2) to save the position. To recall the setting, simply press the corresponding memory button.
