Just replaced mine 5 days ago.

Loosen the bolts holding the alternator in place, take the belt off the pulley (push tensioner ALL the way back or you'll have a hell of a time). Remove the bolts, switch the alternators, and put belt back on.

Tips:

To remove the bolt on the top back of the alternator, you need to loosen the bolt holding the support bar. This bolt is located behind the engine, toward the middle. Just follow the bar back behind the engine.

Before replacing that top rear bolt when putting it all back together, make sure you replace and tighten fully the bolt that's under the support bar. You won't be able to reach it with the bar in place.

Don't fully tighten the rest of the bolts until you get the support bar back on the top rear bolt--otherwise you'll fight it way more than you have to.

Don't let the belt drop down when you take it off the old alternator--reaching your arm down into everything to put it back on the p/s pulley is a pain in the *ss.

Good luck!
