Drain the cooling system by opening the drain valve at the bottom of the radiator. Collect the fluid in a container.
Remove the pressure cap.
Remove surge tank screws. Move washer fluid bottle off to the side.
Disconnect the electrical harness from the low coolant sensor.
Remove the clamps from the vent hose and the heater return pipe hose. Disconnect hoses.
Remove coolant bottle and drain out any remaining fluid. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT: Check low coolant sensor float by shaking bottle. Float should rattle.
Either coolant is low or the sensor in the reservoir is stuck with dirt. Clean the reservoir with soap and water
The radiator cap is on the coolant reservoir, which is mounted on the passenger side fender for S series Saturns.
On a 1998 Lincoln Continental : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap . The engine coolant reservoir is in your engine compartment , towards the passenger side of the engine compartment
Start by taking the top off of the coolant overflow reservoir. To bleed the system, run the 1998 VW 2.0 Beetle about 10 minutes, then check the coolant level. Add coolant if needed, then replace the reservoir top.
It should be on the right hand side.
Dsconnect the rubber hose at the bottom.
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
Coolant Recovery Reservoir. There is no sensor in the coolant recovery tank on a 1998 Buick Regal.
On a 1998 Ford Taurus : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
Blown head gasket or cracked head.
On a 1998 Lincoln Navigator : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
On a 1998 Ford Expedition : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
