The dash is held together by screws. Just take out all the screws in the dash, and also the ones in the pads on the window pillars on the side of the dash. You'll need to remove these to get the dash out. You can still get the dash out without removing the pillars, but you may damage your dash trying to squeeze it out.

Should be under the dash on the drivers side just left of the steering column.
It should be located behind the dash panel on the passengers side.
Remove the two screws that you can see in the indentation on the top of the dash. Then remove two screws under the lip of the dash. It will take a good pull but it will come off.
I have no dash lights or gage lights that come on in my 1982 corvette, what could be the problem ? i checked all fuses.

reach under dash and remove the pin that pushes on rod then unbolt master cylinder and unbolt all 6 bolts on booster somefrom in front of fire wall some behind that you can getfrom under dash

Remove the dash panel cover. Remove the speedometer retaining ring. Remove the cable from the back of the speedometer. Reverse the process to install the new speedometer.
