how to remove gas tank from 1964 t-bird
To remove the gas tank from a 1964 Ford Thunderbird, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel filler cap and disconnecting the fuel lines from the tank. Support the tank with a jack or stand, unbolt the straps holding it in place, and carefully lower the tank down and out. Finally, be cautious of any remaining fuel and properly dispose of it.
Drain the gas from the gas tank. Remove the fuel line from the gas tank. Remove the fuel pump retaining plate. Remove the fuel pump. Reverse the process to install the new fuel pump.
On a 1992 Ford Thunderbird : The gas tank is under the vehicle , just in front of the rear wheels
16 gallon gas tank.
in the gas tank
In the 1992 Ford Thunderbird, the gas tank is located at the rear of the vehicle, beneath the trunk area. The fuel filler neck is positioned on the driver's side, allowing for easy access when refueling. To access the gas tank for maintenance or replacement, you would typically need to remove the rear seats and possibly the trunk lining.
It is inside of the gas tank.
its in the gas tank!!!
I just checked the owners manual and mine has an 18 gallon tank. 1992 Ford Thunderbird 3.8 liter.
Inside the gas tank
Unfortunately, YES you will have to remove the fuel tank. On some cars, the fuel pump can be accessed from under the rear seat or from inside the trunk, but this is NOT one of them. Good luck. :(
it should be in the gas tank of the car. to do so you have to lift the car up and drop the tank out. making sure to drain the gas first and the it will be on the top remove the nut and pull the pump out. Hope this helps
