If it's like my 77 on the front side you will see a nut with two slits cut in it, take a pair of snap-ring pliers to loosen. On the back side of the switch box you will feel a spring loaded button press that in and pull on the light knob.

Hope that helped

How do you remove wiper arms from a 1971 nova?

To remove the wiper arms from a 1971 Nova, start by lifting the wiper arms away from the windshield to access the mounting nuts. Use a socket wrench to remove the nut that secures each wiper arm to the pivot shaft. Once the nuts are removed, gently lift the wiper arms straight off the shafts. If the arms are stuck, you may need to use a wiper arm puller for extra leverage.
