You must lift the vehicle up and remove the oil filter and then remove the exhaust pipes from both sides of the manifolds. Then remove the heat shield around the starter. Unplug the top wire then take off the other two wires that are held on with nuts on the solenoid and remove 3 bolts holding the starter to the bell housing. The starter can then be removed. Very tough job. The bolts holding the exhaust is the worst. The top bolt holding the stater on is a little hard to get to but can be done with a THIN ratchet.
