To remove the water pump on a 1992 Buick LeSabre, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable and draining the coolant from the radiator. Next, remove the serpentine belt, then take off the alternator and any components blocking access to the water pump. Finally, unbolt the water pump from the engine block, carefully remove it, and clean the mounting surface before installing the new pump.
