Begin by removing the wiring harness from your third brake light. Remove the third brake light retaining screws. Reverse the process to install your new third brake light.

Remove the two screws in the lens. You can remove the entire assembly once you do this.
Remove the two screws holding the third brake light lens on then remove the lens, it may be stuck but it will pop off. Replace the two bulbs in there by pulling them straight out.

Remove the cover from your third brake light. Take hold of the lightbulb, push in and turn at the same time. The lightbulb will come out.
you remove plastic red/white cover with 2 screws and remove bulbs.
You have to remove the interior trim of the lift gate.
To remove the third brake light on a 1994 Ford Bronco, start by opening the rear hatch and locating the light assembly. Remove the two screws securing the light in place, then gently pull the assembly away from the vehicle. Disconnect the wiring harness by pressing the release tab and pulling it apart. Finally, you can replace or service the light as needed.
Remove screws on either end of light housing. Remove brake light. Remove bulb. Using a cloth, place new bulb in socket. Replace brake light. Attach screws. bulb cost approx. $2.00 for a two pack of bulbs, beats having the dealer do it and charge you an arm and a leg :)
