Start with a 1/4" drill bit and drill squarely in the center of the key tumbler opening. Drill down about 1 1/4" to 2" (depending on length of key) then pull drill out, replace bit with 7/16" bit and as you drill down, the tumblers should release and the switch should move to the right, freeing the switch cylinder from the housing as the pin underneath is released. Hope this works for you as it did for me !!!

To remove the keyed ignition switch cylinder from a 1992 Corolla without keys, first disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical issues. Then, locate the small access hole on the ignition switch housing; insert a thin object like a paperclip into this hole to release the locking tab. Once the tab is disengaged, you can pull the ignition cylinder out of the housing. Be aware that doing this may damage the ignition assembly, so consider consulting a professional if you're unsure.

To remove the black casing on the ignition switch, first, ensure the vehicle is off and the keys are removed. Locate and remove any screws or clips securing the casing, typically found at the base or sides. Gently pry the casing apart using a flathead screwdriver or a trim removal tool, being careful not to damage any surrounding components. Once loosened, carefully lift the casing off the ignition switch.
you will have to replace the complete ignition switch with a new one.
