Well, I'm assuming you got the motor and trans out in one piece. If doing this in the vehicle be prepared to cuss, a lot. Simply take the nuts off the studs around the bellhousing, there should be something like 9 of them but it's been awhile since I've had a 4L60E out. Unbolt the 3 bolts from the torque converter (you have to take the cover off the bottom of the bellhousing to access them, and you'll need a prybar to hold the flywheel in one place unless the motor is locked up). If you don't take these 3 bolts out, no big deal except when the torque converter pulls off the imput shaft you will spill fluid everywhere. Disconnect any wiring harnesses, and don't forget about the dipstick. Now, was that really that hard?
