To remove the headliner in a 1995 Firebird with T-tops, start by carefully detaching any trim pieces around the edges of the headliner, such as the A-pillars and any visors or overhead console. Next, gently pull down the headliner from the roof, being cautious not to damage the adhesive or the backing material. If necessary, unscrew or unclip any additional supports or fixtures holding it in place. Finally, carefully remove the headliner from the vehicle, ensuring you don't tear it during the process.

Finally, if necessary, disconnect any attached wiring for dome lights before fully removing the headliner from the vehicle.

Remove the pillar covers on the left and right. Remove the sun visors. Remove the roof center console if it is there or just remove the dome light. Remove the clothes hooks in the rear seat area. Remove the plastic strip just fwd of the rear hatch, at the top. If you have T tops, remove them. Now the headliner should come down. Be careful, it is just made of pressed fiberglass and crumbles easily.
