If it anything Like a 1997 silverado extended cab there is one Phillips head screw towards the front of the console(you should be able to see where one would be, take it out, oddly enough it just has one if its like the extended cabs, the rear of the console there are 2 tabs and you should be able to slide the console forward, there is a orange and black wire that have a connection its pretty stubborn but that should be all the holds it, these instructions are for extended cabs

Once you remove that, simply slide the entire console forward until it releases. There will be one red electrical connection that will need to be disconnected. Turn the console over and remove the map light assembly, remove lense and change bulb.
