This procedure works for 2007-2013 Tahoes/Suburbans/Yukons:

To remove the rear wiper assembly open the plastic cover to expose the 13mm nut securing the arm to the spindle. Disconnect the washer hose from the grommet protruding from the liftgate. Using even pressure, apply outward force behind the attachment point of the washer arm to the spindle. I used a 17mm crescent wrench and tapped on the top and bottom. Then I pried gently at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock and it finally started to move. I repeated that with a steady force until the arm detached from the spindle. If you have a puller you can also use that but a crescent wrench works just fine for the shadetree mechanics among us.
