Get a ratchet with a 3/8" drive. You may need a short piece of pipe for leverage. You could use a 1/2" drive (bigger wrench) with a reducer on it. Or even a breaker bar with a reducer on it, as long as it is 3/8" at the end. Crawl under the truck. On the lower passenger side you will see the belt tensioner pulley. In the arm, between the pulley and its pivot, you will see a 3/8" square hole. Put the wrench in it. With the wrench set correctly, lift the tensioner and slip the belt off of a pulley.
Also in order to loosen the serpentine belt you have to use a wrench or something and turn on the bottom pulley....easy remove the serpentine belt for the fan area and remove the two bolts that hold the alternator down and unclip the wiring harness
Piece of Cake!! remove serpentine belt (search here for answer how to), remove the lower of 2 bolts from the alternator, loosen the upper, rotate the alternator up, remove the bolt. Install is the reverse.
To replace the alternator on a 1995 Acura Legend, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner and then unbolt the alternator from its mount. Disconnect the electrical connections and remove the alternator. Once the new alternator is in place, reverse the steps: reconnect the electrical connections, secure the alternator with bolts, reinstall the serpentine belt, and finally reconnect the battery cable.
To remove the alternator from a 1995 Plymouth Voyager, first, disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shocks. Then, remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley. Next, unbolt the alternator from its mounting bracket and disconnect the electrical connectors. Finally, lift the alternator out of the engine compartment.
Remove battery connections, then slacken the serpentine belt. Removal of alternator is simple and straightforward, 3 bolts, replace in reverse order.
To remove the alternator from a 1995 Ford Windstar, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Next, remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley. Once the belt is off, unbolt the alternator from its mounting bracket and disconnect the electrical connectors. Finally, lift the alternator out of its position and replace it if necessary.
To replace the alternator on a 1995 Mazda Miata, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner, then unbolt the alternator from the engine. Disconnect the electrical connections from the alternator, install the new alternator, reconnect the electrical connections, and reattach the serpentine belt. Finally, reconnect the battery cable and start the engine to test the new alternator.
I recently replaced the alternator on my 96' Lumina. 1. Remove the serpentine belt off the engine by locating the belt tensioner and removing the tension req'd to remove the belt. (there is usually a diagram in the engine compt. showing the tensioner location and belt path) 2. Remove required bolts (2) I believe... & elec. harness plug from alternator. 3. Replace alternator & reverse process.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1995 Chrysler LHS alternator. Remove the alternator belt. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. The alternator will come off and can be replaced with the new alternator.
To change the alternator on a 1995 Ford Aerostar, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner, then unbolt the alternator from its mounting bracket. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the alternator. Install the new alternator by reversing these steps, ensuring all connections are secure and the belt is properly tensioned before reconnecting the battery.
To replace the alternator on a 1995 Hyundai Sonata V6, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner pulley, then unbolt the alternator from its mounting bracket. Disconnect the electrical connectors and the positive battery cable from the alternator, then install the new alternator by reversing the disassembly steps. Finally, reconnect the serpentine belt and the negative battery cable before starting the engine to test the new alternator.
A 1/2 inch ratchet should do the trick.
