It also involved removing the air intake plenum, disconnecting some vacuum lines, moving some a/c lines, inspecting the things I uncovered, etc. Once that is done, simply unbolt each individual coil (one bolt each) and disconnect the wire to it before pulling it up and off the spark plug. Then ideally you want to blow or vacuum out the spark plug tube, remove the spark plug and vacuum the tube again (carefully so as not to knock debris into the open cylinder). Installation is the reverse process.
