simply pull tha airbag fuse. remove the 4 torx head scres behind the airbag and remove airbag. unplug theelectrical connector. remove the big nut holding the steering whell. use a puller to remove the steering wheel.

you need a diagnostic equipment but you probably got a problem with the clock spring or squib behind the steering wheel
To remove the steering wheel airbag on a Pontiac Torrent, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent accidental deployment. Next, locate the screws or bolts on the back of the steering wheel that secure the airbag module in place. Carefully remove these fasteners and disconnect the electrical connector attached to the airbag. Once disconnected, the airbag module can be safely removed from the steering wheel.
To remove the horn cover on a 1999 Suburban, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any accidental airbag deployment. Then, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the horn cover from the steering wheel. Be cautious not to damage the clips or the wiring behind it. Once removed, you’ll have access to the horn components or the airbag, if needed.
There are 4 bolts behind the airbag housing that you undo in order to remove the airbag. Once you have removed these support the airbag and unclip (orange clip first) the orange and blue connectors and place the airbag to one side. You can then undo the nut that holds the wheel on the spline, give the wheel a firm wiggle/tap from the back and it will release. If you want to alter the angle then do so and refit or if to completely remove unclip the electrical connector and pass through the space hole. Rgds. Terry
